So it has been over a year now since I went Dairy free! I have been for a few weeks now trying to decide what I wanted to write in my blog about my 1 year journey. Just today I posted a picture of my daughter and I working out and in the caption I said I instill and lead by example a dairy free and exercise daily life in her. Somebody commented you don't let her have dairy. My response was "No Way! Dairy is not made for the human digestive system to digest, it is harmful to our systems, and humans are allergic to dairy. Only reason humans can handle dairy is because they have been given it for such a long time, from the time of birth, but trust me go 1 month dairy free and then eat something with dairy and you will have a sever allergic reaction. I have been there where I ate something I did not know had dairy in it. I often am asked how do you do it? I could never cut out dairy, I love my milk, my cheese, my ice cream! Well me too people! I am Italian I love my cheese on pasta, my butter on bread, my pizza even! It is not hard at all. There is not a single thing that I miss out on being able to have! I still drink milk, I still eat cheese, Parmesan and ricotta cheese even. I still indulge in ice cream every now and again. Still have that delicious garlic toast with my pasta. | OH and I still have my moms homemade peanut butter eggs that she makes at Easter! Yes I still eat chocolate that has no dairy! The hardest thing is truly not at all cutting out anything I have not had to cut out anything! I just have to read and make sure there is no milk, or milk derivatives in the ingredients. That truly is the hardest part of it reading the ingredients! I truly encourage everyone to try it for 3-5 days even a week and see if you see a difference. I personally noticed a difference in 3 days I could breathe again I had no more sinus issues or congestion, or headaches that were causing pressure so much so I felt like my eyeballs were going to explode! No more feeling bloated or sluggish or fatigue anymore either! To learn more about the effects of dairy on our human digestive system see my previous blog Health Benefits of a dairy free diet |
