15 days to go!
Today a busy busy day for me but I stayed on track! I even did so while at a hockey playoff game! #erieotters I was able to get all containers in! Had my shake and hummus and carrots at the hockey game and I can't figure out how all the others see eating popcorn, fries with cheese, hot doges etc.
I am proud of myself for sticking to it! 15 days to go!

So today was my first day of the #21dayfix! When the program came in the mail on Saturday I was so stoked. When I opened it and saw the containers I said holy crap those are really small....thought to myself I am going to starve on this program.
Boy was I wrong! And I already realize that only after one day of the program. Based off my caloric intake of 1330 calories I am to have 3 green containers, 3 red , 2 purple, 2 yellow, 1 blue, and 1 orange, and 2 tsp. Meal 1: 1/2 a whole wheat bagel =1 yellow container Almond milk (for my shakeology) = 1 yellow container 1/2 of a large banana = 1 purple container 1 scoop of tropical shakeology = 1 red container Meal 2: rilled tofu = 1 red container snow peas = 2 green containers Meal 3: Hummus = 1 blue container green pepper strips = 1 green container Meal 4: 1/2 of a large banana = 1 purple container 1 scoop tropical shakeology = 1 red container flax seeds = 1 orange container natural peanut butter = 1 tsp You will notice I am missing 1 red container. I just couldn't eat anymore! Reading this or looking at the containers my not seem like a lot. But once you start eating it is a ton of food! Its amazing how deceiving to the eye it can be, we are so used to just loading our plates completely full and then even going back for seconds, some dare for thirds! So looking at these containers it deceives the eye, but look at the tofu and snow peas on the plate the plate is almost full and whats on the plate was measured out in each correct container. Portion control is all a mind game. We have to trick the mind. Use a smaller plate or bowl and then it will still look like a lot. Use a large plate or bowl and put the same amount on it and to our eye and mind it looks like very little and we need to load more on our plates. Please follow me along this 21 day journey!
